FAQ & Tipps
What is Submit-Exam?
Submit-Exam is the central platform for digital
submission of your thesis at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Submit-Exam is based on
the software Moodle.
How does Submit-Exam work?
The thesis submission works like a mailbox. Each
examination office (Prüfungsamt) has their own section, in which students can
submit their theses digitally. The examination offices can then access the
uploaded documents in Submit-Exam.
How can I get access to Submit-Exam?
Please use your RUB-LoginID to log into Submit-Exam. As a student, you will receive an access key from your examination office (Prüfungsamt). With this access key you can enrol into the thesis submission section of your examination office.
Examination offices contact the Moodle-Support for
questions regarding the usage of Submit-Exam.
Do I receive my grade via Submit-Exam?
No, you do not receive your grade via Submit-Exam. You
will get your result from your examiners and/or your examination office
(Prüfungsamt).
Who do I contact in case of difficulties?
Please consult your examination office (Prüfungsamt)
first.
Advise for students
In order to get used to the submission platform and the submission process, please login into Submit-Exam as early as possible, find the section of your examination office (Prüfungsamt) and enrol into the submission section of your examination office (Prüfungsamt) with your keycode. Your examination office (Prüfungsamt) will provide you with the keycode.
You have the option to submit a draft of your thesis first before submitting the final version. It works exactly like the submission in the assignment activity in every other Moodle course.
